Choose Two Different Music Videos

Video one, the genre is pop soul. In this modern video one artist is sitting at a piano, which can capture the audience in a sense that the audience would have a calm feeling whiles listening to it because of the medium pace of the song. The audience would be young adults and adults, possibly more females than males. It's not really a dancing song, which then allows the audience to focus on listening to the lyrics whiles watching the video. The video is created like a stage performance and gives off a concept, as there is an abstract middle part to it, were there are dissolving images of the female artist,almost connecting to the lyrics . The setting of the video takes place in an industrial warehouse shown by the extreme long shot, which shows the artist walking to the piano and the drummer, almost as if its like a stage setting. The song starts when artist starts playing the piano. Also the use of a birds eye view shows the artist and drummer, showing that there alone in the whole room. Furthermore there is a close up camera angle to show the artists face, then an extreme close up on the artists hands whiles she plays the piano, this all makes it very realistic, adds a connection with the audience. Camera cuts from the drummer to the artist through video in a fast pace while the song is a medium pace. The long shots of the empty room could show how lyrics want to fill out the space ‘Next to me’ suggesting they are relevant. Video two, the genre is pop soul. There are two artists, one playing an instrument (Piano) another singing and performing in some parts, a long shot is used to show the setting which is in a park or field next to a famous London bridge. The audience would be both male and female, young adults and adults, as it has lyrics that people can sing along to also the beat can allow the audience to dance along. The Camera cuts to the female artist, camera is a medium shot of the girl dancing, suggesting a performance because its not just one scene, as camera cuts from male artist to female artist throughout video. The extreme long shot shows that shows people walking around, then the camera zooms further going backwards, however getting closer to the artist making it abstract. The setting of video two is abstract at the start making it a concept, however in the second half of the video its more of a performance as there is a piano, which you would have on a stage, also there is the female artist who sings an dances, giving it a performance feel. In comparison to video two they both use the instrument, the piano which gives it a relaxing feeling.
